    • SAFETY: Safety is a key priority for all of our members! Knowing how to prevent injury and what to do if an accident occurs is everyone's responsibility!

    • GIRL SCOUT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: Following our council policies and procedures means that you are complying with national and state laws, as well as national and local council guidelines. If you have questions about a Girl Scout Policy/Procedure, don't hesitate to get in touch with our customer care team at 1-800-248-3355.

    • GIRL SCOUT FINANCES: This gets its own category because it is so important. Understanding and complying with financial policies means that you are leading by example. You are protecting the financial assets of girls, their troops, and the organization.

    • SERVICE UNIT AND GIRL SCOUTS WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA GOALS: By setting goals for the service unit, you are building a stronger and better tomorrow for Girl Scouting in your area. The Service Unit Planner is a tool that helps to set goals and plan your year in Girl Scouting. Talk to your membership engagement specialist about this valuable resource, or call our customer care team to learn more.

    • SUPPORTING THE PRODUCT PROGRAM EXPERIENCE: Everyone is responsible for offering support and guidance through the MagNut and cookie programs. You can do your part by avoiding delinquencies, helping troops to set goals, and developing a strategy to achieve troop and service unit goals.

    • COMMUNICATION IS KEY: By accepting this position, you are committing to receive and respond to communications from staff and volunteers. Ghosting isn't an option for service unit team members. Girl Scouting needs you!

    • YOU ARE A GIRL SCOUT!: You represent an organization that builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place and it starts with your example. We ask that you follow the Girl Scout Promise and Law at all times—that's what being a Girl Scout is all about!
